<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an indoor unit of an air conditioner in which a top surface of a front panel is not deformed by supporting the top surface of the front panel. SOLUTION: The indoor unit of the air conditioner is constituted by a casing 1 in which a blowing air passage communicated with a blowing port 4 is formed by a front guide 1a and a rear guide 1b, and a blower 9 is installed in the blowing air passage: right and left evaporator holders 2 mounted at both sides of the casing and fixing each of both sides of a heat exchanger 8: the front panel 6 fitted to cover the casing and the front surfaces of the evaporator holders: and an installing plate 10 fixed to a wall surface, engaged with the right and left evaporator holders to cover the casing and the rear surfaces of the evaporator holders. An upper end of a central segment of the installing plate extends forwardly to form a supporting surface 11 supporting the rear end of the top surface of the front panel, resulting in that even if a certain stress caused by a thermal shock or the like is applied to it, the top surface of the front panel is not bulged out upward or not recessed downward.</p> |
