PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle control device installable on an automobile provided with the engine with a turbocharger. SOLUTION: This vehicle control device capable of setting an after-idling time is provided with an initial value setting means for calculating and setting the initial value of the after-idling time using a measured time during vehicle stop and a detection part judging means for judging whether or not an alternator signal is used in the after-idling time. The after-idling time is set using the initial value from the result of the detection part judging means.
