PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaner for contact lenses which has high detergency to the dirt sticking to the contact lenses. SOLUTION: This cleaner for the contact lenses is formed by using a copolymer of a weight average molecular weight of 5,000 to 5,000,000 prepared by polymerizing 20 to 95 wt.% a specific phosphorylcholine group-containing (meth) acrylic acid derivative and 5 to 80 wt.% specific hydrophobic group-containing (meth)acrylate. Further, the cleaner for the contact lenses consist of 0.001 to 5 wt/vol.% copolymer of a molecular weight 5,000 to 5,000,000 prepared by polymerizing the specific (meth)acrylic acid derivative described above and the (meth)acrylic acid derivative having the specific hydrophobia group as a component A, 10<-6> to 1 wt/vol.% sterilizing agent as a component B, 0.01 to 1.5 wt/vol.% inorganic chloride as a component C, 0.01 to 1.5 wt/vol.% buffer as a component D and 0 to 5 wt/vol.% chelate agent as a component E.
