HIGH DAMPING RUBBER COMPOSITION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high damping rubber composition that maintains high damping properties with no deterioration of temperature dependency and mechanical properties. SOLUTION: The high damping rubber composition is obtained by impregnating rubber containing natural rubber and/or isoprene rubber with a rosin- modified phenol and/or a rosin ester. The high damping rubber composition is further obtainable by impregnating rubber containing natural rubber and/or isoprene rubber with carbon black, silica and a rosin-modified phenol and/or a rosin ester. Preferably rubber containing natural rubber and/or isoprene rubber is impregnated with 20-80 pts.wt. of carbon black, 30-80 pts.wt. of silica and 10-60 pts.wt. of a rosin-modified phenol and/or a rosin ester.
