PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a raw material for preparing novel reactive dyestuffs having a triazine group and a specific vinylsulfone group, and to provide a method for preparing the dyestuffs. SOLUTION: A method for preparing the raw material represented by formula (V) [wherein, R2 is an alkul, Cl, Br, an alkoxy or COOH, (i) is 0 to 1, (j) is 0 to 2 (r) is 2 to 3; Z is CH=CH2 , CH2 -CH2 -OSO3 H, CH2 -CH2 -S2 O3 H, CH2 -CH2 -O- CO-CH3 , CH2 -CH2 -OPO3 H2 or CH2 -CH2 -OH], is provided. This raw material is used for preparing the reactive dyestuffs as in the form of a free acid type represented by formula (I) [wherein X is fluorine atom, chlorine atom or bromin atom, R2 , (i), (j), (r) and Z have the same meanings as defined above], and the reactive dyestuffs show improved adsorption rate in the dyeing.
