PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection method of the inside of a tube for accurate measurement of the position of a joint in the tube to be inspected. SOLUTION: The inspection method of the inside of the tube comprises a procedure for detecting the joint position candidate of the tube to be inspected by arranging an acoustic transmitter and an acoustic receiver at one end of the tube to be inspected, transmitting acoustic waves from the acoustic transmitter into the tube to be inspected, and then receiving the acoustic waves being reflected in the tube to be inspected by the acoustic receiver; and a procedure for inserting a sensor body 11, having an illumination means for illuminating the inside of the tube to be inspected and an imaging means for imaging the inside of the tube to be inspected being illuminated by the illumination means into the joint position candidate, while rotating a support 12 that is connected to the base edge of the sensor body 11 and while a spiral projecting section is formed on the surface by rotating the support 12 around the axis.
