PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a failure such as damage to a cylinder by eliminating a structure protruding to the side of back surfaces of a boom and an arm. SOLUTION: The square column-shaped arm 25, which has a box structure and has a base end and an end opened, is journaled turnably at an end of the square column-shaped boom 22 which has a box structure and has a base end and the end opened. An arm cylinder 24, which makes the arm 25 turned with respect to the boom 22, is inserted into the boom 22 so as to be journaled in a turnable manner. A bucket 29 is journaled turnably at the end of the arm 25. A bucket cylinder 27, which makes the bucket 29 turned with respect to the arm 25, is inserted into the arm 25 in order to be journaled in the turnable manner.
