METHOD FOR PRODUCING OXIDATION DECOMPOSABLE GAS OF ORGANIC SUBSTANCE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently produce an oxidation decomposing gas of an organic substance having a high production efficiency of hydroxy(HO) free radicals and capable of sufficiently utilizing the decomposition power of the HO free radical for the organic substance or microorganisms in a relatively simple process. SOLUTION: This method for producing the oxidation decomposing gas of the organic substance comprises mixing ozone gas with a misted aqueous hydrogen peroxide, irradiating the resultant gas-liquid mixed system with ultraviolet rays and ultrasonic waves and producing the HO free radicals. Since the contact area of both the substances in the gas-liquid mixed system comprising the ozone gas mixed with the misted aqueous hydrogen peroxide is wide and the contact efficiency is increased, the ozone absorbing energy waves using the ultraviolet rays or ultrasonic waves or both is decomposed. The produced oxygen atoms are efficiently reacted with the aqueous hydrogen peroxide to generate a large amount of the HO free radicals.
