PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for bonding an optical member capable of bonding in good accuracy even in bonding the subject member having a larger area than the light receiving area of a UV-rays detecting section. SOLUTION: This device comprises an optical control section 12 capable of partly controlling amount of the throughput of the UV-rays, an exposure device 13 irradiating the member S to be bonded with UV-rays via the optical control section 12, a detecting section 14 detecting an illuminance distribution of the UV-ray on the surface corresponding to the bonding surface of the member S to be bonded, a driving device 16, 17 carrying the detecting section 14 and a calculating section 15 counting number of times of carry by the driving device 16, 17 from the light receiving area of the detecting section 14 and the area of the member S to be bonded and transmitting control signals to the optical control section 12 to obtain an uniform iluminance distribution based on the information on the iluminance distribution obtained by the detecting section 14.
