VIBRATION DAMPING COATING COMPOSITION AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration damping coating capable of forming a thin coating film applicable for damping and sound absorption at a site having a complicated shape where vibration or sound is generated. SOLUTION: The vibration damping coating is obtained by compounding the following coating components (i), (ii) and (iii). (i) A resin emulsion having a polar group, which can form a coating film capable of forming hydrogen bond by the contact of the polar group with a hydrogen bond-forming aromatic compound. (ii) An aromatic compound having hydrogen bond-forming property, which can form a hydrogen bond with the polar group and is controllable, and having at least one hydroxy group in a molecule. (iii) An inorganic filler. And a method for manufacturing the vibration damping paint is provided.
