PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cap assist, capable of easily rotating a cap with knurls for containers of a liquid or jelly like drink with a relatively small force, and preventing the cap removed from rotating. SOLUTION: A cap assist is provided with a fitting part to be fitted to the cap having knurls on the outer periphery thereof, and a clamping part formed at one end of the fitting part. The fitting part, having a cylindrical shape, is provided with a space capable of storing the cap, and an inner periphery having an uneven face to be fitted to the knurls of the cap. The clamping part, having a noncircular shape, is provided with a larger portion than the fitting portion in a flat plane orthogonal to the axial line of the fitting part. The inner face of the opening end of the fitting part is provided with a fitting protrusion which can connect with the rear end of the cap stored in the fitting part.
