PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect with high resolution by a simple constitution, without causing large errors in a device for detecting the angle of rotation of a steering wheel of multiple rotations used for a body control system, etc., of an automobile. SOLUTION: The device for detecting the angle of rotation includes both a first means (amplifier 4) for setting high the resolution of information on the angle or rotation in the vicinity of the center location of rotation from a detecting means 1, and a second means (amplifier 3) for setting low the resolution of information on the angle of rotation, at a location to which displacement increase from the center from the detecting means 1. Therefore, it is possible for the device to detect the angle of rotation of a rotator with high resolution only for a required part.
