PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a horizontally-drawing drainage system and a cover device for a bridge capable of improving the appearance of the bridge. SOLUTION: A drainage gutter 8 installed onto the underside of an overhanging floor slab 5 has a bottom plate section 8C and inclined wall sections 8D mounted at both side edges of the bottom plate section 8C respectively and engaged with the overhanging floor slab 5. An angleαformed by the inclined wall section 8D and the bottom plate section 8C is an obtuse angle. Since the drainage gutter 8 has an approximately trapezoidal cross section, the corner sections of the gutter 8 are not conspicuous, and the appearance of the underside of the overhanging floor slab 5 is harmonized.
