<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner having excellent electrophotographic characteristics, forming high-definition images, having excellent environmental stability and durability and scarcely causing contamination on a developer holding member, a photoreceptor, a fixing apparatus or the like. SOLUTION: The dry toner consists of at least one kind of binder resin, coloring agent, wax component and polyester resin and has the following features. (1) The polyester resin consists of aliphatic polyvalent carboxylic acids and aliphatic polyhydric alcohols and at least one of the polyvalent carboxylic acid units and/or polyhydric alcohol units constituting the resin has a polymerizable double bond. (2) In the equivalent circular diameter- circularity scattergram on number basis measured by a flow type particle image measuring device, the equivalent circular number average diameter D1 (μm) of the dry toner ranges from 2μm to 10μm. The average circularity of the toner ranges from 0.950 to 0.995 and the standard deviation of the circularity is <0.040.</p> |
