PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a very reliable fixing device capable of maintaining the performance of a regulating blade over a long term and having excellent maintainability. SOLUTION: This fixing device is equipped with: a pair of heating roller 1 and pressure roller for fixing an unfixed toner image on a recording medium by making the recording medium on which the unfixed toner image is recorded pass through; an oil coating felt 7 for coating the heating roller 1 opposed to the toner image out of the pair of rollers with offset preventing liquid; and a regulating blade 8 for regulating the amount of the offset preventing liquid by abutting on the roller 1. In the fixing device, the surface layer of the roller 1 on which the blade 8 abuts consists of an elastic body whose JIS A hardness is <=45, and the blade 8 consists of a blade being metallic base material 10. An edge 12 being the abutting part of the regulating blade 10 on the surface layer of the roller 1 is formed in a curved surface shape and the radius of the curved surface is 0.1 to 0.5 mm. A fluororesin layer, for example, a layer 12 consisting of the mixture of fluororesin and fluoro-rubber is provided a the tip part of the blade 8 including the curved surface.
