PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid fuel combustion apparatus wherein consumption of wasteful standby preheating electric power is reduced while keeping good handleability. SOLUTION: The combustion apparatus 1 includes a vaporization section for gasifying a fuel while heating the liquid fuel with a vaporizer heater 71, and supplies produced fuel gas or a mixed gas of the fuel gas and air supplied from an air fan 2 to a combustion section for burning the gas. The apparatus 1 comprises preheating-reserving means 95 for reserving a time zone for preheating of the vaporization section and cancelling the reservation, informing means 96 for performing informing control for a non-combustion time zone in the preheating time zone reserved by the preheating-reserving means 95 with reference to a combustion state of the combustion apparatus 1, and control means 9 for performing combustion control including reservation control for the vaporization section in response to the setting of the preheating-reserving means 95.
