PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure safe workability, using structure capable of conducting work only on the outside of side frames. SOLUTION: In a crawler type traveling body provided with a lower frame for supporting swingably an upper swing body, and the pair of side frames attached with a crawler in which a through hole inserted with an axle beam of the lower frame is formed in a side part, and capable of changing a distance between the respective side frames by guiding the axle beam by the through hole to overhang and retreat the side frames, the distance between the paired left and right side frames is changed by an extension beam attached foldably to an end of the axle beam, fixiation between a tip of the extension beam and the side frames is conducted by penetrating fixing pins into fixing holes provided respectively therein, and the extension beam is folded to be fixed to the side frames when the distance between the side frames is shortened.
