PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a relatively inexpensive wadding having excellent hydroscopicity, scarcely causing allergic reactions in humans, having excellent heat resistance and adsorptivity of gaseous substances causing house sick, hardly plastically deforming and having even excellent heat insulating properties. SOLUTION: This wadding is composed of wool and polyester hollow fibers. A cushioning material is obtained by stuffing the wadding into a bag member for pillows, a bag member for stuffed toys, a bag member for Japanese cushions, a bag member for mattresses, a bag member for back pads or a bag member for sofas.
