摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily producing an E-oxime ether isomer of a phenylglyoxylic ester. SOLUTION: The method for producing the E-oxime ether represented by formula (I) (wherein, X and Y are each a halogen, a 1-4C alkyl, a 1-4C alkoxy, trifluoromethyl, and a 1-1-5C alkyl-(2-5C alkenyl)-hydroxyimino-1-5C alkyl-(2-5C alkenyl)-hydroxyimino; (m) is an integer of 0-54; (n) is an integer of 0-53) is characterized by converting the E-oxime ether represented by formula (IIa) (wherein, substituents are the same as defined above) to a salt by using a base in the presence of an organic diluent and reacting the product with a methylation agent of CH3 (wherein, X is Cl, Br, or the like).
