PURPOSE:To simply and easily form an ultrasonic tranceducer by forming it by arranging unit tranceducers, which are obtained by arranging plural piezoelectric elements on a packing material at regular intervals, in a two-dimensional direction so as to make groove widths constant. CONSTITUTION:A piezoelectric board 1 is stuck on the packing material 1 and a dicing device divides the piezoelectric board 1 into plural piezoelectric elements 11 to 1n. Then, after taking out them from the dicing device, the peripheral of each packing material 2 is cut off so as to shape its outside dimension, the projecting size of both terminal parts in a longitudinal direction is set to be 1/2 of the groove terminal G of each element 11 to 1n, and the projecting size of both terminal parts in the direction of width is set to be the same prescribed value. Then the side of the piezoelectric elements is closely stuck to a flat reference surface so as to connect each unit tranceducer 3a to 3c in the longitudinal direction with an adhesive. Thus, the ultrasonic tranceducer of the large number of elements can inexpensively and easily be obtained like cutting off one sheet of the piezoelectric board 1 by setting accurate pitches and groove widths G. |
