PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation device and a navigation method that can determine a location easily. SOLUTION: A navigation device memorizes road map data and at least data for displaying housing map showing the shape of building in an information storage means as a map information. When a desired location is indicated by an input means to set up a destination, it checks whether a map showing shape of building is available or not from the data as a corresponding map for the required location. If it is possible, it displays the map showing the shape of building on a display means. If it is impossible, it displays a road map stored in the information storage means is displayed on the display means. Even if it is required to confirm the location precisely, it can be made in detail with the map showing the shape of building. |
