PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a range hood without increasing in size an apparatus for sufficiently capturing an oil mist or the like. SOLUTION: The range hood comprises a hood 4 of a substantially inverted L-shaped box installed above a cooker 1a and having an exhaust fan 13 and a supply fan 24 thereabove, an opening 3 having a depth largely at a rear side from the front surface 4b of the hood 4 to both sides 4a and opened down, and a curved surface provided at the rear side of an inner peripheral surface 9 for forming the opening 3. A supply air flow is supplied along the inner peripheral surface 9, and a rising flow directed upward is formed by the exhaust fan, and hence the unit for enhancing capturing properties is not increased in size.
