PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reissue a label easily and quickly at the end of an ink ribbon. SOLUTION: Under control of a control section 10, a print head 5 prints specified print data onto a label 1 being fed from a continuous body 3 of label. When an end sensor 11 detects the end of a ribbon 15 and the print head 5 printed onto the label 1 using the remaining ribbon 15, the control section 10 stores the print data printed lastly onto the label 1 using the ribbon 15 and interrogates whether the last print data is printed normally onto the label 1 or not. A user visually checks the label 1 printed lastly and when reprint is designated because that label 1 is not usable, the control section 10 reprints the stored print data onto the label 1 using a ribbon 15 loaded anew by the user.
