PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high quality and high performance liquid crystal display device by preventing the application of DC current to a liquid crystal panel thereby eliminating degradation of liquid crystal materials even though a logic circuit power supply voltage VCC is turned off by a liquid crystal driving control circuit while a liquid crystal driving power supply voltage VEE is being inputted. SOLUTION: The device is provided with a driving circuit 2 which drives a liquid crystal panel 1, a liquid crystal driving voltage generating circuit 3 which generates prescribed voltages to drive the panel 1 and a liquid crystal driving control circuit 4 which prevents the application of DC current to the panel 1. When the voltage VCC of the driving circuit is not being inputted, the circuit 4 supplies a voltage VDD of the voltage VCC level to the logic circuit in the driving circuit from the voltage VEE.
