PURPOSE: A method for driving a plasma display panel is provided to reduce power consumption and a writing error by improving a driving method of the plasma display panel. CONSTITUTION: A data pulse has an amplitude of 60 to 80 volt since the data pulse is elevated from a reference voltage of 0 volt to 60 to 80 volt. The data pulse is elevated to 70 to 90 volt by adding the amplitude corresponding to 10 volt to the data pulse. A discharge error is not generated by a sustain period of data pulse since the amplitude of the data pulse is elevated and the voltage difference between a scan pulse and the data pulse is increased. The scan pulse has the amplitude of 70 to 80 volt since the scan pulse is fallen from 70 to 80 volt to 0 volt. The data drive IC is driven under a lower voltage by reducing an increase of the amplitude of the data pulse and lowering the amplitude of the scan pulse. |
