PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the increase of viscosity of a resin composition even by compounding a non-crosslinkable polymer and enable to use as overprint varnish to various printed materials owing to the high adhesivity of the varnish to major inks. SOLUTION: The resin composition curable with an active energy ray contains (A) 35-70 wt.% styrene polymer having a weight-average molecular weight of 1,500-2,900, a glass transition temperature of 20-70 deg.C and styrene contents of >=90%, (B) 10-63 wt.% crossilnkable monomer and/or crosslinkable oligomer and (C) 2-20 wt.% photopolymerization initiator. The overprint varnish containing the composition is able provided.
