PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a voltage regulator that makes the current Ids of a pass transistor M1 to be constant and also makes conductance gm to be constant. SOLUTION: This voltage regulator sets voltage with a resistance ladder including voltage of an output stage and a pass transistor that feeds current to the output stage and the resistance ladder, switches a voltage division ratio of the resistance ladder that determines a regulator output voltage with a control signal from the outside in a switching means, and makes a current value caused to flow to the pass transistor to be constant.
