PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inside-of-pipe inspection apparatus which can be miniaturized as a whole and which can reduce electrical energy required for the rotation of a sensor mainframe, in the inspection apparatus of a system by which the sensor mainframe is inserted into a pipe to be inspected while it is being turned. SOLUTION: The inside-of-pipe inspection apparatus 1 is provided with the sensor mainframe 11 and a tubular or rodlike support 12 which is used to insert the sensor mainframe 11 into the pipe to be inspected. A height is formed spirally on the surface of the support 12. The support 12 comprises a rotation-part control means constituted of a plurality of clutch mechanisms 121 interposed and inserted in prescribed positions in the axial direction. The rotation-part control means is constituted in such a way that a turning force is transmitted only to the support 12 positioned on the tip side with reference to the urging position of the turning force to the support 12.
