PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a towel cloth of woven material, scarcely being unloosed in a sewn part when it is sewn so as not to be required that the cloth is sewn by being thickly overlapped, making it difficult that its loop yarn is drawn out when used, and therefore capable of being variously used, e.g. for clothing and toys. SOLUTION: This towel cloth of woven material is produced by twining ground warp threads 1 with ground weft threads 2 so as to make a pile ground weave, and weaving pile warp threads 3 into the pile ground weave so as to form loop yarn on one of both the surfaces of the pile ground weave, wherein the ground weft threads 2 are used in a state that they are further twisted to have a twist number of 1-1.5 times the conventional twist number of the threads composing the ground weft threads 2.
