PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a road paving machine which can be applied even to paving work making a width of a pavement narrowed, allows one worker to perform the paving work, and enables the paving work to be continued without being interrupted even in the case of a displacement of the road paving machine from a surface to be paved. SOLUTION: This road paving machine 1 has hoppers 7a and 7b for storing pavement materials supplied from without, a screw part 6 for feeding the pavement materials in the hoppers 7a and 7b to the rear of the machine 1, and a screed part 2 for compacting the pavement materials, which flow out of the screw part 6 so as to be laid on a road, from above. The screed part 2 is provided in such a manner as to be movable in a horizontal direction with respect to a traveling direction of the machine 1, in order to be horizontally moved with performance of the paving work so that the machine 1 can be aligned with the surface to be paved, even if the machine 1 is displaced from the surface to be paved during the paving work. Consequently, the paving work can be continued without being interrupted.
