PURPOSE: A body welding system for a vehicle is provided to perform unidirectional welding by using a back electrode, to improve conductivity by using a welding electrode including copper and silver, and to prevent welding failure by keeping the gap between inner and outer panels with an electromagnet. CONSTITUTION: A welding system for a vehicle body is composed of a control unit(100) detecting motion of a vehicle body panel, and outputting signals in placing inner and outer panels(50,40); a welding machine having a welding electrode(112) supplying welding power to the outer panel, and welding unidirectionally by supplying current to the inner panel for conducting a back electrode and the welding electrode; and a position adjusting part moving the welding electrode according to the welding electrode position signal from the control unit. Welding is performed unidirectionally by using the vehicle body panel as the back electrode, and welding failure is prevented by moving the welding machine.
