<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for the measurement of jitters and wanderings, which comply with various communication standards and whose linearlity is high. SOLUTION: In the apparatus, synchronous changes, such as jitters, the wander or the like in a synchronous signal in a communication network is measured, a reproduction clock is sampled and digitized, a series of digital clock samples are generated, the in-phase component and the orthogonal-phase component of a digital baseband frequency are generated by referring to a local digital reference signal, digital phase information on a clock signal is extracted, and desired network parameter is measured.</p> |
