PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the scale of a circuit simple in the case a sensor, which is employed in a pressure sensitive device being mounted at a seat of a vehicle and detecting a sitting person who sits the seat, is composed of a matrix of n×m elements. SOLUTION: The pressure sensitive device is provided with a pressure sensitive element 2 in which one end side of row electrodes or column electrodes is used as a voltage driving side, a port switching section 13 which can switch the driving voltage individually at every electrode between a power supply voltage side and a grounding side, and a control section 1 which contains the port switching section 13 or is made up by itself and inputs the input voltage of an input side to be one side of the electrode using an input voltage detecting section 12 and calculates the pressure distribution. Thereby, a small and simple fashion of the circuit can be realized without need to employ n+m operational amplifiers.
