摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spherical surface measuring apparatus that can stably measure a spherical surface, without breaking optical elements. SOLUTION: The spherical surface measuring apparatus for the optical element, having a measuring part 40 comprises a probe 2 contacting the spherical surface of a lens 18, a spherical segment-ring 1 integrated so as to share an axis with the probe 2, a moving means for making the spherical segment-ring 1 undergo minute movement in each direction of two axes orthogonal to the axis, a turning means for turning the spherical segment-ring 1 around each of the two axes, and a fixing means fixing the spherical segment-ring 1. Then a balancer 30 activates the force of magnitude in a direction, partially canceling the gross weight of the measuring part 40, when the lens 18 is press-contacted to the spherical segment-ring 1 of the measurement part 40.
