PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light receiver of lightweight and high strength, consuming a smaller amount of electric power. SOLUTION: A light receiver 27, which detects position of light receiving, includes a light receiving element 25 in it and its base 28 is stuck to a transparent cylindrical case 36 closed at the top. A guiding groove 38 is formed integrally on the case so that a substrate 31 is fit in the groove to support. Absence of an extra part for supporting the substrate and the closed top of the case raise the strength of the device and realize weight saving.
