PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the back side of a printed matter from being stained with ink by a method wherein no sagging develops in a used master at its carrying to a scrap plate box through the effective suppression of the development of a trouble, in which the peripheral speed of a plate cylinder exceeds that of a scrap plate roller. SOLUTION: An angular position, at which the plate cylinder 14 is instantaneously and quickly accelerated due to the uneven loading of a main motor 12, is stored in a memory 54 as data. Then, when the rotatory angle of the plate cylinder 4 detected with a rotatory angle detecting means 51 coincides with the data stored in the memory 54, a braking signal is generated under the judgement that the plate cylinder 14 takes the angular position, at which the plate cylinder 14 is instantaneously and quickly accelerated, resulting in brakingly controlling the main motor 12 based on the generated braking signal.
