PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel supply system for an alternative fuel, contributing to quiet operation by reducing and collecting a DME fuel leaked from a high pressure pump and improving the output of an internal combustion engine per fuel consumption while maintaining a proper forcible feed amount of the DME fuel. SOLUTION: The fuel supply system is connected from a fuel tank 7 for storing the DME fuel via a high pressure feed pump 8, a fuel cooler 12 and a fuel filter 13 to the high pressure pump 4. It has a common rail 5 for forcibly feeding a high pressure fuel from the high pressure pump 4 to an injector 1 and a pressure limiter 24. It is provided with a fuel selector valve 18, a purge tank 20, a compressor 27 and a fuel cooler 29 via a return pipe 17 for collecting a leaked fuel and a cooled fuel from the high pressure pump 4 into the fuel tank 7. The low pressure leaked fuel from the high pressure pump 4 is introduced into the purge tank 20 or an inlet pipe in the internal combustion engine. |
