摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep the second continuous regeneration type DPF is kept at all times in a fresh condition, even if the exhaust path is changed over to the second continuous regeneration type DPF, continuous regeneration of the DPF can be carried out immediately, in the exhaust emission control device for a diesel engine equipped with the first continuous regeneration type DPF installed in the exhaust path of the engine and the second continuous regenera tion type DPF installed in the exhaust path at an upstream side. SOLUTION: The exhaust emission control device for the diesel engine comprises, the first continuous regeneration type DPF installed in the exhaust path of the engine, the second continuous regeneration type DPF installed in the exhaust path at the upstream side which has smaller capacity than the capacity of the first continuous regeneration type DPF, a by-pass which is installed to encircle the outer portion of the second continuous regeneration type DPF, a control valve to open and close the by-pass, and a control system which controls to close the by-pass when an exhaust temperature range is in a lower temperature range than the prescribed temperature.
