PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress generation of failure such as foreign matters and bubbles in a liquid crystal or the like in a panel due to cutting without adding a cutting process or a cleaning process in an array making process, and further to suppress corrosion in the cut part from the viewpoint of long-term reliability, and to reduce generation of stripes or irregularity from the viewpoint of display quality. SOLUTION: The pattern of a sealing agent 3 to seal the liquid crystal is formed not only in a pattern for sealing the liquid crystal in the periphery of the display region but also in a pattern 3b enclosing the periphery of the part where lines are to be cut. The lines are cut by laser in the sub-sealing part surrounded by the pattern 3b.
