PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endless belt traveling device preventing the breakage and the deformation of a meandering preventing guide from occurring and preventing meandering from being caused. SOLUTION: In this endless belt traveling device for making an endless belt travel by the rotation of a plurality of rollers by inserting the rollers inside the endless belt, belt-shaped elastic bodies are fixed on the more outside than the roller on the inner surfaces of both side edges of the endless belt by an adhesive layer and provided with a notched gap part having the angle of 10 to 80 deg. to the rotating direction of the endless belt on the roller side, and also set to be linearly symmetric with reference to a center line passing through the rotating direction of the endless belt. This device can be used for the photoreceptor belt, the intermediate transfer body and the carrying belt of the image forming apparatus.
