METHOD FOR ESTIMATING RESIDUAL LIFE OF STORAGE BATTERY GROUP

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate a residual life of an active battery group which is composed of one or more storage batteries. SOLUTION: A method for estimating the residual life is provided, which consists of a process 1 of carrying out a life test by the battery group beforehand, a process 2 of obtaining a service capacity of the battery group, an internal resistance of each battery, and a relation between a discharge time and a voltage at a capacity test time in the process 1; a process 3 of obtaining a relation between a life test period and the service capacity by carrying out the process 2 for a plurality of the number of times; a process 4 of measuring the internal resistance of each battery of the active battery group; a process 5 of estimating the relation between the discharge time and the voltage of each active battery from the internal resistance values on the basis of the result of the process 2; a process 6 of obtaining an estimated total terminal voltage of the active battery group at a certain discharge time based on the estimation; a process 7 of estimating a relation of the discharge time and a total terminal voltage of the active battery group from the result; a process 8 of estimating the service capacity; and a process 9 of estimating the residual life by applying the result of the process 3.
