PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent thickening of ink and clogging of a nozzle even when a power switch is left turned off for a long time. SOLUTION: In a printing apparatus which forms an image by ejecting ink, nozzle is sealed by being covered to prevent evaporation or volatilization of an ink composition from the nozzle when an image is not formed. After the power switch is turned off, ink is supplied properly to the moisture contained space formed at the nozzle opening part. Thus, supplying ink properly, even when the power switch is left tuned off for a long time, prevents the nozzle from being dried, so that the thickening of ink or clogging of a nozzle can be prevented. |
