PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple-structure and inexpensive device which can simply detect a deterioration state of a storage battery with the use of a discharge voltage at a use time. SOLUTION: The device for detecting the deterioration state of the battery from a relation between the discharge voltage and the deterioration state of the storage battery when the storage battery becomes not higher than a preliminarily set reference voltage is composed of a starting means for flowing a current to a circuit for detecting the deterioration state, a setting means for setting the reference voltage when the predetermined deterioration state is brought about, a block means for blocking the current of the circuit when the deterioration state is brought about, and a display means for displaying the deterioration state.
