PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving power source circuit capable of preventing an afterimage from appearing on a liquid crystal display panel when the power source of the liquid crystal display panel is turned OFF. SOLUTION: The power down short-circuiting circuit 10 in a driving power source circuit 1 is provided with the plurality of power source lines VL1 to VL5 provided corresponding to a plurality of voltage levels V1 to V5 and also N-channel MOS(metal oxide semiconductor) transistors M6 to M9 for short- circuiting intervals between adjacent power source lines by detecting the power source of the liquid crystal display panel being turned OFF. Thus, the driving power source circuit can prevent the afterimage from appearing on the display panel by preventing lighting of liquid crystal elements due to the slow lowering of potentials of power source lines.
