SOLUTION: A display data processing circuit according to the present invention comprises a storage section 2 for storing the coefficient setting value's decimal fraction (b) power of the ratio (X/A) of the gradation value (X) of input display data to the gradation number (A) of the input display data, i.e., (X/A)<b> , a processing section 1 for calculating the coefficient setting value's integer fraction (a) power of the ratio (X/A) of the gradation value (X) of input display data to the gradation number (A) of the input display data, i.e., (X/A)<a> , and obtaining the multiplication value, i.e., (X/A)<a> .(X/A)<b> .B, of the calculated value ((X/A)<a> ), the value ((X/A)<b> ) read from the storage section 2, and the gradation value (B) of output display data, and a look-up table 3 for storing multiplication values obtained by the processing section 1 corresponding to all of the available gradation values of input display data, and converting the gradation value of input display data to the gradation value of output display data according to a coefficient setting value by reading a multiplication value in the processing section 1 corresponding to the gradation value of the input display data.
