PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make optical filter changing and the cleaning of the display surface of a PDP possible by one person, even when a plasma display device is set at a stand. SOLUTION: A support reinforcement material protrudes from the back side of the PDP for supporting the weight of a panel, reinforcing the elasticity of a back cover, and a guide for fitting the back cover and the front surface outer case. The back cover is so constituted that this supporting reinforcement material and the back side of the PDP are covered. An optical filter is secured by a screw by using metal fittings on the front surface outer case, and the front surface outer case and the back cover are secured by screws with the supporting reinforcement material of the panel in-between from the back cover side.
