The vehicle body has a rear wheel housing (3) with underbody (1), a through-load opening, and McPherson strut unit etc.. The wheel housing has wide section, forming an outer surface (7), which is at a distance to a longitudinal strut (2) on the underbody. A stiffener part (5) is located between strut and surface. The longitudinal strut is a mainly U-shaped profile, open at the top, the stiffener part is W-shaped, and engages on underside (16) and side wall (17) of the longitudinal strut, on the underbody, and on the wheel housing. |
