PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a yellow pigment composition capable of yielding a color film having a higher coefficient of visible transmittance (Y value). SOLUTION: The yellow pigment compound consists of the mixture of a quinoloquinolone pigment and an isoindolinone pigment or a solid solution pigment consisted of a quinoloquinolone compound and an isoindolinone compound. The color filter contains the pigment composition.
