LASER TRANSFER METHOD AND DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the production of dust by cutting of color films and the adhesion of the dust to the color films and substrates in laser transferring color inks from the color films to the substrates and to eliminate the need for exchange with the color films of different colors. SOLUTION: The laser transfer device 10 is arranged with the continuous web-like color films 16R, 16G and 16B which pass above the different positions in the feed direction of the substrate 12 placed on a stage 14 by transfer film feeders 18R, 18G and 18B. These color films 16R, 16G and 16B are thrust onto the substrate 12 by film press rollers 20R, 21R, 20G, 21G, 20B and 21B and the tight contact points thereof are irradiated with laser beams from laser irradiation devices 28R, 28G and 28B, by which three colors of color ink layers are laser transferred onto the substrate 12.
