PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for packaging an outdoor unit, preventing a load collapse through reinforcement by preventing the tilting of the unit even when stacked. SOLUTION: The outdoor unit of an air conditioner is placed on a rectangular bottom plate 1 which is upwardly open, and a pair of bottom plate cushioning members 3, 3' made of a styrene foam, which are arranged at both the longitudinal sides of the bottom plate reinforcing member 1'. The main body of the outdoor unit 2 is constituted of a base 2a and an external case 2b, and a blower and a heat exchanger are mounted on the base in the main body of the outdoor unit 2. The device for packaging the outdoor unit of the air conditioner comprises a ceiling cushioning member 4 mounted on the longitudinal upper part of the outdoor unit of the air conditioner, a top plate 5 which is downwardly open and is fitted to the ceiling cushioning member, and a band 7 hung on the bottom plate and the external side of the top plate 5. An auxiliary cushioning member 8 formed of corrugated boards is provided in a position corresponding to the lower side of a compressor in the vicinity of the bottom plate cushioning member, so that a biased gravity can be supported by the auxiliary cushioning member 8 and the outdoor unit is reinforced so as not to be untilted even when stacked, and hence the load collapse is prevented. |
